I've got my Date Oct. 19, Anyone close to that?

I'm scheduled for 10/26 down here in Texas. I'm definitely feeling a mixture of things...but I'm mostly excited to start this next chapter in my life!! I spent my childhood, teens, 20's and half my 30's being overweight-super morbidly obese. This ends later this month! I'm finally taking control! I want to set a better example for my daughter!!

Hello. I am having surgery on Oct 19th!!! I do not have to do a preop diet. Just maintain my weight where they wanted me to be and I am. And the night before surgery I cant eat anything after 6pm.

Nervous-excited- ready for this new adventure. I need to go buy some loose shorts and teeshirt for the stay and some slippers. I have bought some broth for the first stage then some puddings and cream Soups for the second stage. I want to be ready. Hoping I dont have to take 4 weeks off. but we will see. I want to be safe and heal. Good luck to all. Hope we can connect with our journey on here. hugss

For the people who are doing a 2 week diet what are you about to consume? Also I saw someone else who had an October Facebook group, if I created one would anyone like to join also? We could ask questions and such and help with support, recipes, workouts, etc. please let me know.

Hi, I'm having the sleeve 10/14. I just created a Facebook group for October sleevers support. It's secret so nobody can search it or see the posts. If you'd like to be added, message me your email.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
