Why Am I burping?

Hello, everyone,

I was banded on May24 2007. I had my first adjustment on July 10. I am burping constantly, even after drinking Water. Am I eating and drinking too fast, or will this subside?

I am not sure if it will subside or not. You may want to ask your surgeon. I can tell you that sometimes with restriction comes burping and/or hiccups. It is quite common.

Hi, I was banded 5/14/07. I have DEFINITELY noticed myself burping a lot more than before the band. Even when I was following the rules very carefully.

i get the burps so bad it almost hurts. I can burp 10-15 times in a row. It's a pain!! soneone wrote on another thread that it is from the port "tail" or the band itself irritating the diaphragm. (sp?) I was banded 3 weeks aso and it really has slowed down from teh first two weeks..but i dont like it at all!
