Has anyone been vomiting after eating? I've cheated a few things and ate stuff a little ahead of my phases, but even when I eat what I'm supposed to I vomit ocassionally

Not every meal but man. At least twice or three times a week. It's not painful. I feel full, get sick and I'm perfect again. A few of the times I know it was because I drank too soon after. But I just want to make sure I'm not alone.

I sometimes dry-heave when I first wake up in the morning but I've started having Water by my bed and drinking before getting out of bed. It seems to help. I don't think you're supposed to be vomiting. You may wish to contact your clinic just to be sure. Sometimes vomiting is a result of eating too quickly or drinking while eating or too soon after eating. Are you doing any of those things? I'd also recommend measuring everything to make sure you're not accidentally eating too much. I would love to tell you you're not alone but from the literature my clinic gave me, we're not supposed to be vomiting. You need to follow the diet guidelines carefully though to give your body time to heal. I'd avoid moving through the stages too quickly. Hope this helps.

Same here. The numbers are changing on the scale, but I don't see it on my waistline yet. Looking forward to having that -horrible- problem of flying through sizes!

I am in a super long stall and I am doing everything right (I think, lol!)... I have even been walking a lot more. The only thing I can think of is that I am not get ENOUGH calories...?... I've been logging on my fitness pal and hope to see the scale move soon! I've lost 40 overall (2wk pre op + post op) which is great, but weight has only moved a pound or so in over a week. I am in that dreaded 3rd week, though, so hopefully this passes soon :) One month on Thursday! :)

Also, had not done this before, but I took my measurements this morning. Always hate doing that because I am never sure how snug to make the measuring tape, but figured it was a good idea to start and that I might see more results that way instead of just looking at the scale. My clothes are looser, but I have been wearing stretch stuff for so long, all my "big" clothes still fit, just hang more than usual :)

I live in scrubs most of the time. It's like going to work in really comfy pajamas but it's hard to see any change in fit until it's pretty major. I put on jeans today for the first time in a long time and I couldn't tell you if they fit any differently. BUT...oddly enough...my bra fit is weird now. Comfy, and the 'girls' don't look any different, but looser...

I think I may be eating too much or too soon with my Water. It's so hard to get everything in and food. I'm required 64 oz water and 3 meals a day. I can't do 3 meals. I had turkey slices and cheese today and I was fine. Then for dinner I had chicken and peas. Ate like 2 peas and a few bites of chicken and I vomited. But my chicken was spicy. So maybe that's it.. idk. I'll have to call my clinic and ask.

yes, my bra! totally notice a different in the bra… my underwire used to flare out on the sides and poke me in my arms (had to wear it with some of my work shirts), but now it sits nice and flat almost :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
