Share a cabin on a Cruise?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I have just come back from a LBT cruise (well about a monthe ago;)) and it was so great that I disided to give a gift of a transatlantic cruise for my dad's birthday. Unfortunatly my mom can't go (its a 14 day cruise and she has a bussines and can't leave it for that long:cry). This is such a wonderfull opertunity that I hate to just throw in the towl. If anyone (male or female) would be interested in sharing a cabin with an older GENTELMAN who is very clean/non smoker/very respectfull of ones space and privacy/ and has a GREAT sence of humor, please let me know. The cruise is out of Galvaston TX it is RCI's Voyager of the Seas. It is a 14 day cruise with stops in Portugal and Spain and you have to disimbark in Spain and fly home. The prices for the voyage (no airfaire) starts at $800+p/t (for inside cabin). If anyone is interested please pm me. This is a great oppertunity to go on a luxery cruise without paying an arm and a leg if you do not mind sharing a cabin which is really there only to sleep in:notagree

Hey girl! How are you? I wish I could go for a 14 day cruise!! HA!

Do you know the dates yet? You might get more bites if you post when it leaves (if you know). you might also try posting on Cruise Critic: Cruise reviews, Cruise message boards, cruise bargains, and cruise information

You are such a generous daughter! I hope he has as much fun as we did :)

Love,

Karla

Hi! Well, I guess that date counts me out as your dad's roomie!

I DID hear from Windy, her mom's having health problems and she's been taking her for treatments/tests. She said she wants to get together with us... and will let us know when things calm down a bit.

Sounds like a pretty great rate for a 14 day cruise, I hope you find someone interested in going.

Karla

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
