6 months post and starting to get nauseous of the mornings.

Recommended Posts

Title pretty much sums it up... This crap has started in the past couple days.... I am up for a little bit of the mornings then all of a sudden a wave of nausea comes over me... I can't drink anything even Water and afraid to eat... but I took a bite of a biscuit and felt better. This happened day before yesterday and this morning but not yesterday. Does this happen to others this far out? I asked in a Facebook sleever page and I got the response that I was prego... Told them to shut up. I was on the pill... But now I'm afraid cuz I take my bc pill with water and then take my other Vitamins the same way... could I have flushed the pill through before it got into my system? idk how that stuff works. I sure hope not. Any suggestions guys?

That was my first thought too! Take an over the counter test. Even with the pill it could happen. If not that. When is the last time you ear before bed? You may want to eat something later so your tummy is not so empty when you wake.

@@heav85 I was thinking the same this as the OP...get an OTC and eat something small before you take your other meds. You may want to move your BC to a time of the day, when you are not sick (in the am), maybe later....?

Someone said it could be low blood sugar. I don't eat several little meals a day. I really should. I eat when I'm hungry. And stop when I'm full

I get nauseated in the morning and the last thing I want to do is drink Water. Granted I am only 5 weeks out. I talked to my surgeon about it and he told me to eat something right away when I get up. Have something ready or something sitting by my bed. I tried that and it worked wonders. My blood sugar was low. If I don't eat a bite when I first wake up I get nauseated. Try it and see if it works. Even just a drink of OJ helps.

Vitamins are hard on a empty stomach. Especially the ones that have Iron.

I hope you get the cause figured out soon.

Take your birth control pill at night, last thing before you go to bed. That way you won't be washing it out of your stomach with other things. I truly don't know if that is a problem, but by switching to the evening, you know it won't be.

I DID THAT ABOUT THREE MONTHS OUT. I HAVE NO SUGGESTIONS BECAUSE AFTER ABOUT TWO MONTHS OF IT, I JUST WOKE UP ONE MORNING AND NEVER DID IT AGAIN. THE BIRTH CONTROL IS ABSORBED LATER IN DIGESTION I'M PRETTY SURE.

ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE THAT YOU'RE GETTING ALL YOUR Water IN?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
