I'm finding it very difficult to accept life at goal. I feel like I could still lose a little bit more before I stop.

I've been getting a lot of comments on how thin I am, and I know there are parts of my body that are. But there are parts of my body that are not as well.

I've been getting a lot of comments about how I'm so thin. I was told twice today that I'm so thin I may blow away.

I don't think I look "skinny". I think I look normal.

Anyway. What do you guys think? Without knowing the number- based on how I look. Am I at goal? Over it? Under it? Should I lose 5 more pounds? Be honest.

I think if you drop another 5-10 pounds you WILL start to look "skinny". You look great how you are, by the way! Congratulations on getting to your goal.

You look skinny now, but in a healthy way. You need to do what you feel is best for you, but it's MY opinion that you do not need to lose more. That said, if you lose 5 more and you don't like the way you look, you can healthfully put that back on.

It's not a bad idea to have a 5 pound "bounce" range to fall within, so if you think you need to lose more, make your current weight the top of your range, aim for 5 more and go from there.

I don't care what the scale says you are skinny enough!

Stay right where you are because you really are thin!

I think you look great. Thin, but healthy. Nice muscle tone. I think you do run the risk of looking too thin if you lose too much more....

Good job on the weight loss by the way! I still shake my head in astonishment how people who had surgery several months after me have already made goal and lost so much more!

I would definitely say you are on the skinny side. Do you do any weight lifting? You look like you are at a healthy weight, but maybe if you do some firming up you won't feel like you need to lose more.

Babbs- for me at least there is a reason I've lost so much so quickly. Several reasons.

For one, I was very ill for the first 6 months and only ate about 300 calories a day, if that!!

Second, I was lighter to begin with. I had about 125 pounds to lose, rather than 200+.

Also, I've always had a super fast metabolism. I used to eat well over 5000 calories a day. It is very surprising that I wasn't larger than I became!! My metabolism kicked in when I got the surgery and I just shredded the weight.

So don't beat yourself up, please, if you haven't made goal yet. I'm an unusual situation.

I think I'm going to lose five more... Bounce range, exactly. Because I love where I'm at now and that will help me stay in it !

I actually started at a lower weight than you, lol. I'm just a SUPER slow loser. I always say I have the metabolism of a koala bear, lol. I had surgery in August of last year and it took me a year to lose 85 pounds. I'm at goal right now more or less, but would love to lose 10 more for my bounce, although it may take me another year, lol. It's all good, though. Even if it doesn't happen, I'm happy where I'm at. I look and feel healthy.

I think you look great! You are almost the exact height and weight I was in 2008 when I lost with my lap band. I think people calling you skinny are either jealous or not used to seeing you like this. You look normal and healthy I would t even say "skinny" because to me that means honey/ugly/underweight. Congratulations.

You should be proud of the hard work you have done, especially because losing so can be so frustrating!!! I've seen your photos and you look fantastic.

I think you look amazing and should stop. Even if you lose 5 lbs, you will see something else and then want another 5 gone. It's a vicious cycle. I believe it's time to stop and enjoy maintenance now as a beautiful and thin woman.

Argh. You're probably right. I'm not sure if it's even up to me anyway. Its everything I can do to get in 1200-1500 calories a day as it is... Im still missing about .5 pounds a week. So most likely I'm going to slip down into the 115-120 range wether I want to or not regardless of what I do.

I'm just hoping that by the time that happens, my calories will come up higher and I really will reach maintianence. I fully realize I am very thin and have reached my goal.

Do you eat full fat versions of things? Maybe add calories by just changing some foods out. I stalled once and my weight watchers leader told me to switch from low fat and sugar free to the normal versions to get my calories in.

Mind you, I'm pre-op but I know how to add calories ????????????????

Good luck! You truly are an inspiration!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
