@@Elode - dang if that didn't happen to me today. My son was here, our laundry was mixed up because he doesn't take stuff out of the dryer and when I put on my underwear they felt better, checked the tag to see what brand I wanted to pick up to replace the rapidly uncomfortable lose stuff, and realized "dang it's my stud college student, state champion swimmer's underwear." I'm feeling pretty NSV right now.

@@OKCPirate lol! These kids better hide the undergarments. Maybe this will give the motivation to wash, dry AND fold their own crap!! ;)

Elode,

That’s hilarious…anything you can do to annoy a teenager is a good victory. Just kidding. Congrats on yet another milestone. You are getting so close to goal weight!!

@@Alex Brecher I know and then I went and changed it! I was never given a goal weight. I was just going for a healthy BMI and now I got a bit cocky! Lol!

Love it @@Elode! My 13 year old son kept putting my shirts in my 9 year olds closet. Well mommy took a trip to Victoria's and all my underwear started disappearing. Of course my 9 year old daughter is not paying attention but I find half my undies in her drawer and somehow she doesn't realize those aren't hers. I now have my own laundry hamper to stop the confusion and clothing loss.

Lol...in my house having off limit bins/hampers are THE only solution. I was angry till I realized me and my son wear the same size t-shirt so to him it can't be mom's so must be sister's. Save the stress and keep my clothes separate.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
