Genpro has changed, anyone try Piping Rock Whey Protein Isolate Powder?

Recommended Posts

The first batch of genpro I received was excellent. Dissolved well, and had these cool little take out bags.

The latest batch, the container was different, and started clotting up in coffee, and the bags were absent.

I found whey Protein Isolate powder at 1/3 the price. Essentially the same stuff based on their claims.

Has anyone tried it?

genpro has had issues, people have been taking them to task on the whole idea of how they say they have 3 times faster absorption and therefore you use 3 times less, which it turns out is not true. As a result they had to reformulate. Theres an article in one of the magazines i was reading at the store a month or so back, for the life of me i cant find online at the moment. nor can i remember which mens health type magazine it was, may have been one of the nutrition mags. i cant remember lol

Would love to hear your feedback after you've tried this. I have been using GENEPRO every morning in my coffee. I couldn't stand powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury so I would hate to buy a can of this and throw it away.

Thanks-

LA

@@swimbikerun - Received it yesterday. No taste, no smell. Blends well with coffee, eggs, yogurt. 25g of protien per scoop at a very good price. It's worth trying out.

@@Memouse -- yes I am, so far, so good. Dissolves well, and no noticeable hair loss nor other problems associated with low Protein levels.

Just bought some of the Piping Rock on Amazon. They had some deals (one of which was a coupon code, the other automatically gave a discount once you had the minimum amount in your cart) if you spend a certain amount of money. I ended up saving quite a bit.

hi all! i am almost to surgery date scheduling in my process and i have been researching Proteins to try. I was initially sold on the GENEPRO but now i little nervous based on these talks of reformulating. i don't mind trying the other but my initial draw to the GENEPRO was the small scoop serving. is this comparable in the piping rock?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
