Isn't booze a no go for 6 months?

It depends upon your surgeon's philosophy on such things. Advice varies from a few weeks post-op to never again. My doc's take on it is none during weight loss as it imposes an additional unnecessary stress on the liver.

I heard Scotch has the least carbs, isn't generally mixed with anything but Water or soda water, is much easier to slowly sip because of the taste, and you are more apt to drink far less. I, of course, can't stand the stuff!

If your at a stage that your doctor approves of drinks, Vodka and Crystal Light is one of the best options. Vodka has 65 calories per ounce.

Being a diabetic before surgery, I was told clear Rum is the best for calories and carbs, and I generally drink it with Crystal Light. Be very careful and be safe when drinking, as it affects you differently than before surgery.

Clear rum? I was told the opposite because isn't it made from sugar cane? I guess I'll Google that!

I drink red wine at home. When out, I'll order a shot of vodka, a glass of ice Water, and I'll add my own Lemonade Mio to it. Delish!
