OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted September 24, 2015 The original post was not tongue in cheek at all. I'm not even sure it was cleverly crafted click bait.
UalreadyKnow 843 Posted September 24, 2015 So crucify her for her sarcasm or need to vent!! Geez people this is supposed to be a supportive site. If you've got nothing nice to say..... Move on!!!
mirv550 11 Posted September 24, 2015 This is funny because my wife and I were starting to ask the same thing...lol! My surgery was on 09/11/2015, and I had one day of grogginess and laziness and took 1/2 a dose of they pain meds. The next night I took my regular dose, and slept my 6 hours with no issues, and have not really stopped since then. I mean I finished up my liquid diet on 09/17, and 09/18 I went to phase 2 which I will be until my 6th week. I am keeping it to meats, cheese, yogurts, Beans, eggs, and wheat thins...but hot sauce or spicy foods are no problem at all....veggies are harder to get in but I work them in as well. I can tell from the weight loss that I am on the right path though...how messed up would it be to be the placibo sleeve...lol
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted September 24, 2015 I love it when people tell others how they should and should not post, when the topic should change or not change and attempt to speak for "everyone" or "we all" when stating their own opinion. HA!
shellyd67 198 Posted September 24, 2015 I had a great overall experience too. I was back to work a week later. I did however have to work all day at getting fluids and Protein in the first few weeks. I plan out and prep all my food/protein drinks ahead of time and that makes things easier.
Smye 694 Posted September 24, 2015 Your experience sounds nearly identical to mine
tblovingme 22 Posted September 24, 2015 As a blog site owner, we all know that great post titles are the way to get people to read and reply. Except this is a terrible inflammatory title. You have your surgeons name in your profile and you are accusing them of malpractice. Really!!!! Malpractice from a title. The point is to read the blog which clearly does not suggest she didn't perform my surgery. And so you are aware since i seems my point is not being taken by you and Emma, I said the same thing to my doctor when I had my post op about her actually doing surgery. Please move on or skip the thread if you have nothing better to reply or better yet nothing better to do than to scrutinize the title of my thread. Thanks to all the others who understood what I was writing and not take things to an entire different level than what the title was meaning.

HA! Yes, In my opinion these are unhappy people and there is nothing you can do about it. They do not have to post anything, clearly they can exit the thread at anytime if they do not like what they read.
Timmeriowa 1 Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) I am 9 days out and have only taken pain Meds once since home(the 1st day), have no problem getting my fluids in, & 2 Protein Shakes a day. I have very little discomfort, and I still lost 20 lbs in 8 days post-op at follow up yesterday. I honestly think I could handle regular food right now but i'll wait. I think it just depends on the individual. Good luck. Edited September 24, 2015 by Timmeriowa

I think it just depends on the individual. Good luck. I was feeling the same way. I started regular foods (chewing 30 times or more) so I didn't have to pureed 2 days early. I can eat full snack size pudding in one setting. I can also get 3 ounces of chicken or turkey in. Yes, I am with you on taking it slow so I only try eating twice a day and still drink my Protein Shakes and Protein drinks for the other two meals. Keep up the good work and thanks for replying to my thread appropriately.
tblovingme 22 Posted September 24, 2015 Ruh roh! I'm working up a head of steam again about message board amateurs who start threads and then whine about what others post in response.
tblovingme 22 Posted September 24, 2015 Honey no whinning here. I do jabe a problem when they are negative post just like your post. It's supposed to be a site where people support people not voice their negative unwarranted opinions about something trivial as a title.
