Yaberhoo 358 Posted September 23, 2015 You are starting the preliminary phases to get insurance approval for the surgery. That includes doctor supervised weight loss.
cindyw41 761 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) His practice my require you to lose the 10% to prove your dedication to eating healthy and changing your lifestyle before they move you to the next step. All doctors are different and the programs vary. My doctor requires more than the insurance does and if you don't complete his plan they will deny doing the procedure. JellyBellyNoMore 58 Posted September 23, 2015 My health insurance required me to have a medically supervised weight loss of 10% prior to getting my authorization. If I have leafed anything during this process it's to be your own advocate. Research your health insurance requirements on your own and ask questions when you have them. The questions still come to me. I write them down and call with a few at a time. Seems to work.....
