Thank you for this post grabbing an ice pack now and then I'll try a heating pad 6 days out feel like death

I know exactly how you feel I'm the first week marker from my surgery and had a hernia repaired. The pain in my left shoulder is unbelievable. I've iced and heated but nothing has helped. It's the nerves that are aggravated causing the pain. I hope it subsides soon.

I hope you guys feel better soon! The ice definitely helps and when you can just walk around a little. I've literally been walking around in a circle in my hotel room lol! But I guess it kind of helps :)

@@jacks89 do you use the powder or premade Isopure? I'm interested in another Protein product because I'm slowly getting tired of the whey/milky protein taste from my current whey isolate.< /p>

I bought the glass bottles of isopure at GNC and so far the orange one is the one I've tasted and it's delicious! Kind of leaves you with a small dry mouth but one small medicine cup of Water and it goes down lovely. ;) I've heard that the coconut one is pretty good too!

I had pain in my left side for three solid weeks before it abated. I was told it was normal. I found the more walking I did the better I felt. Good luck and congratulations!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
