protien question

Recommended Posts

I got my second fill about a week ago. I can drink anything, I can eat most starches and veggies as long as I chew, chew, chew. But, it seems like no matter how much I chew steak, chicken, lamb...I get stuck. I've PB'd multiple times on protiens, even with small bites and a lot of chewing. Anyone else have this issue? And if so, any suggestions on how to deal with it?

I had my second fill 5/23 and i have noticed differences. I am tighter first thing in the morning so I have to wait awhile, just drink some Decaf coffee before I can eat anything. It's usually close to lunch sometimes before I can really eat anything. There are certain foods that I used to could tolerate before fill #2 that I can not now. I can no longer eat any kind of bread (even toast), no steak and chicken breasts are out unless it has some gravy or someting . It takes me longer to eat now because I have to go slower and have to chew even more. I can feel the food more in my throat as it goes down and I have to be more aware as to how much I am putting in my mouth at one time. I have PB'd off of tuna and even scrambled eggs since this last fill. Didn't really kick in until a week or two after the fill and continues now even over a month later. Just have to take your time, really really chew and pay attention to how much you are putting in your mouth at one time. Also no dry food.

Have you tried boneless chicken thighs? I find that they are much jucier than chicken breast, they go down much easier, and without the skin its not that horrible-almost compbrable fat/calorie wise as chicken breast.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
