abs0253 193 Posted November 13, 2015 @@abs0253 I looked up steatosis and that is fatty liver right? Well duh, I am thinking that we will have that fatty liver until we lose more weight and we are no longer obese? liver was normal before surgery. Dr said it was from malnutrition. I have got to get more protein/calories in with out burning them all during Cardio.. my weight today is 152 pounds.
thisfathasgot2go 235 Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) I am not sure about my liver lately, but I know back in 2007, I was diagnosed with a fatty liver. When I had my post-op labs, my doctor knew right away I was not drinking the amount of Water he wants. What are the labs called (name of test) that check for fatty liver? Is it creatinine? retrieverguy 411 Posted November 13, 2015 So I have lost about 40lbs total and today in front of like six people someone said, you have lost a lot of weight, and they stood there looking at me. I wanted to run and hide. Took me by surprise and I didn't know what to say. I was embarrassed for the first time for losing weight and not for being fat. I guess I need to learn how to take a compliment in a group setting.

She was trying to limit calories, but her body was fighting back wanting Protein and more fluids and activity. surgerydude 40 Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) I had my first 4 week checkup yesterday. Down 17.4 pounds since surgery, I was kinda bummed that it wasn't more. He told me to throw away my scale, that I should be judging my weight loss by how my clothes fit and how I feel and that he doesn't pay much attention to the amount that has been lost in a month, he only uses the scale to see a trend. That is such great advice. I just got through a bit of a stall - I'd not seen a drop for about 6 days. But I could feel my body change, and I actually fit in some pants that I'd not worn in two years. Glad I saved 'em! Thanks to you guys, I tried a little carb hit and that jumped me out of stasis. Just went through some family horrors, and am so glad I got sleeved. This is exactly the kind of thing I used to eat my way through, but food is no longer the center of comfort for me. -sd Edited November 14, 2015 by surgerydude
