I am down 60 pounds as of today. Some days I eat more than others. Some days I have to remind myself to eat. Very strange but I make sure to get my Vitamins and eat Protein first. Lots of Water too.

Just wondering how much has everyone lost? How are you feeling ,how much do you eat?[/quotem]Myself Ive lost 66 lbs since my surgery in April. I'm feeling so much better, enjoying my freedom of movement. Surprised when I look at myself in the mirror. I have days that I am hungry most of the day worrying about eating to much, but knowing it's still not close to what I used to eat but still worry. So afraid that I'll end up stretching my stomach back out, and then some days doing well and not very hungry. I've never been able yet to tolerate fish or really any meats at times. I'm Very happy I had my surgery. Just pray I'll learn better habits and keep the weight off once it's gone.

I am feeling great! Down 62lbs. What I can eat seems to very. Anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 cup. Depending on what it is. For things like steak just a few bites. So glad I did this. It feels so good to not be driven by food. If anything it is more of a chore to eat now.

I've only lost 38 pounds. My own fault. Didn't do what I was suppose to do. Became a carb junkie again. Was consuming 2000+ calories a day at times. This week I have been trying to get back to doing the right thing. Not doing so bad. 9 weeks until my 1 year surgiversary so I want to lose more by then obviously.

If you are a carb addict I would stay away from them. Eating carbs leads to eating carbs. You may want to try the new weight watchers program. It is geared towards eating Protein and cutting out sugar. I too need to limit the carbs or I am hungry all the time. I generally eat a piece of whole wheat toast with my Breakfast and maybe some brown rice with dinner. Always eat protein first, veggies, then "good" carbs. Good luck!

How many calories is everyone eating now? Just wondering if I eat too much or too little?

This is a great question for your NUT. Calories are going to be relative to your Protein target as well as your activity level, etc.

Why not check in with your NUT?

Last few months I was struggling to keep up with eating pattern and Protein intakes, but I am able to lose weight as much as I can. The total of losing weight I have had since April 2015 is more than 150 lbs, and am feeling good and more energy..

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
