Sophie74656 1,572 Posted September 19, 2015 I'm still looking for some Protein drink that I can tolerate enough to have a whole serving. I've heard a lot about the Isopure drinks so I went and got three different flavors to try. I got the blue raspberry, passion fruit, and apple melon. The blue raspberry and the passion fruit were HORRIBLE!! I tried mixing the blue raspberry with some blue Powerade like I saw some people here mention but that didn't help at all. Still terrible. I'm afraid to try the apple one at this point does anyone like these?
LoseItKacy 347 Posted September 19, 2015 I have unflavored Isopure in the powder. I love it. U can put it in anything.
WL WARRIOR 692 Posted September 19, 2015 I second that. I started with the powdered Isopure right after surgery. You can't beat the 50 grams of Protein in one serving. Did I like it? No, not really. Did I like what it did for my health and ability to fulfill my daily Protein requirement? Heck yeah. This is more important to me than taste. Unless it causes an allergic reaction or vomiting, you may just have to tolerate. If you have the time and money, you can taste test other Protein drinks. There are a lot out there. The best tasting protein, in my opinion, is Syntrax Fuzzy Naval and WonderSlim pudding/shakes by Bariatric Choice.
mykdzmom 387 Posted September 19, 2015 I am still pre op, but I have the Syntrax unflavored Protein and it is not too bad. I dissolved it in Water then poured into my soup/broth after it was heated. I really couldn't taste it. I hope I can still tolerate it after surgery.
esskay77 785 Posted September 19, 2015 The Isopure drinks are an acquired taste but now I do actually like them. Not all flavors. I like the grape and the fruit Punch flavors. You just have to realize that they don't taste like the flavors they are. The orange isn't too bad either. If I haven't had one in a while, I have to get used to it again. Puppypaws57 137 Posted September 19, 2015 I like the grape flavor.

There are literally thousands of Proteins drink, shakes and powders out there. You have to find what works for you. Just save your receipts. You can then return any powders or unopened bottles.< /p>
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted September 19, 2015 I have unflavored Isopure in the powder. I love it. U can put it in anything. Second this. After so many sweet drinks it's nice to be able to have some Soup with added Protein. I almost exclusively use the Isopure unflavored powder and then use the bottles for my Water. I divide a bottle into 3's and add to my 24 ounce water bottle. That 72 ounces of fluids not counting any other beverages I may have. I use regular vanilla whey from CVS instead of cream in my coffee.< /p>
shriner37 249 Posted September 19, 2015 I just picked up some of these at the store, and am drinking a Grape now. It is certainly not as flavorful as Crystal Light, but to get 20 grams of Protein I'll deal with the taste. Also picked up their unflavored Protein isolate powder to fortify Soups, hot Cereal, etc.
Sophie74656 1,572 Posted September 19, 2015 I'm going to try the unflavored powder, thanks

I'm going to try the unflavored powder, thanks The unflavored powder isn't entirely flavorless. It just doesn't ave any added sugars or flavorings. There is a slight taste to them, but I find it tolerable and easily masked with seasonings.
shriner37 249 Posted September 19, 2015 (edited) I was referring to the 40gm no-carb Protein Drinks. At this stage I can't get that much liquid in so today I started with half of a bottle, hoping to get 20gm of Protein.< /p> Edited September 19, 2015 by shriner37
Elode 8,093 Posted September 20, 2015 @@Sophie74656 The only one I could stand was the apple melon. And they have to be ice cold!!
heatherfields 11 Posted September 20, 2015 I too have to have it ice cold! (The clear fruit flavored Isopure drinks) it's really that funky aftertaste for me! So, I get a cup of beef broth, and use it as a "chaser". It seems to rinse out the funky flavor for me. I agree with WL Warrior, nothing else measures up to the Protein count, not to mention the Vitamins and minerals, in Isopure! I don't love it, but I can choke it down. For me, Grape, alpine punch, and (surprisingly to me) mango peach were the most tolerable flavors.
