linz32 11 Posted September 19, 2015 Hi everyone! I've never done this before, but i think i may start making it a habit. My name is Lindsey and today marks the 3rd day out after having my RNY. So far the pain is minimal. The most pain is from the liver biopsy my surgeon did at the same time as the bypass. Im not hungry at all... Which may be related to the pain meds or the surgery itself. Only time will tell. .

werryd 14 Posted October 2, 2015 My surgery is 10/12. I'm so excited but today was my surgical class and doctor appointment so I'm now getting nervous! It's super helpful to hear from others with recent experiences! Congratulations on your surgery!!
linz32 11 Posted October 2, 2015 Thank you all! So far I am 16 days post op. I'm finally getting around a little better by myself. I think the turning point was once the surgeon removed the drain and started me on Vitamins. I'm finally starting to feel like myself again! To all of those with surgery coming up, it will be scary at first, but hang in there. I am currently down 46 lbs from my highest weight.
thbrown223 214 Posted October 2, 2015 Congratulations @@linz32! Sounds like you're doing well. How's it going with your Fluid and Protein intake? Have you returned to work? Any suggestions for pureed or mushy foods?
linz32 11 Posted October 2, 2015 (edited) Hi thbrown223! Still having trouble with the Fluid and Protein intake. Not anywhere close as I should be, but getting better every day. I will return to work in two more weeks. I'm still on full liquids but start pureed next week. Edited October 2, 2015 by linz32
