What's Up With All The Tipping?

Recommended Posts

I just don't bother with very good hair cuts. My hair is naturally curly, so it is difficult to cut and style and make it look like anything. I used to have it halfway down my back, but I took a class trip to the Everglades a couple of years ago and got it cut off right before I went. It's EXTREMELY short now. Right after the last time I got it cut, my brother joked that it was shorter than his hair (and it was). I'd let it grow out, but I just hate to take the time and effort that it would require to make it look halfway decent.

You two don't know how lucky you are. :) Thin, stringy, perfectly straight, mousey hair is the pits. At least you can fluff yours up, put it in a band and pretend like you planned it. I'm not thin enough for a comb over, but I'm afraid someday I will be. I had a good friend in Fla. who was that thin. She wasn't old or unhealthy so I don't know why it was so thin and fine, but she made me feel like I had a lot of hair. That's why I hung out with her...:heh: Not really. She was very cool. I have always noticed that people with curly want straight and people with straight want curly.

:faint:

You are right about wanting what you don't have. All my family are very curly and I am actually the least curly of the bunch. My mum wore her hair in something like an Afro for a number of years. What upset me was being a blondie. Both my parents and one of my brothers were brunettes and I happen to find brunettes most attractive. Unfortunately for me I am a total genetic recessive - a strawberry blondie with blue eyes. :( And I inherited the fatty gene. :angry It's a bluddy good thing that I inherited charm, intelligence, a good sense of humour, as well as money. :heh: :heh: :heh: :)

Don't get me wrong, I love my curly hair. (Well, now that it's short enough that it doesn't really tangle badly, I love it. When it was long, it was horrid.) I just wish I could get it to style. One of my old hairdressers tried to style it one day, in a popular style, and it looked absolutely HORRIBLE.

I deal with mine by using lots of product and never, ever brushing/combing it. I run my fingers through mine is all. Brushing/combing leads to it turning into a giant fuzz ball.

I comb mine when I first come out of the shower. Other than that, it doesn't happen.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
