Need4Change 26 Posted September 18, 2015 Has your sleeve or weight loss had an affect on your monthly cycle? My cycle (which had been absent for 4 months due to an IUD) showed up 4 days post-op and has been steady (albeit lightly) flowing for the last 3 weeks. Anyone else have similar issues? Margie122 845 Posted September 18, 2015 Yes...FAT holds a lot of hormones and if you are releasing the fat, your period may get out of whack. I've had my period TWICE since 8/17. GOOD TIMES. The good news is it wasn't as HEAVY as it used to be. It's pretty normal and it should regulate itself soon.
