Johnston7781@yahoo.com 12 Posted September 17, 2015 How soon after your surgery did you take tylenol? My muscles hurt and I don't know what to take.
jdc121975 63 Posted September 17, 2015 I was sent home with liquid painkillers so right away
toasty 371 Posted September 17, 2015 On day 5 after surgery I switched completely to Tylenol instead of the prescription pain meds. No problems. Just don't take Tylenol AND the prescription pain meds. They prescription pain meds probably have Tylenol (Acetaminophen) in them, and too much Acetaminophen can harm your liver. Djmohr 6,965 Posted September 17, 2015 I started taking Tylenol immediately after surgery as long as I did not take the liquid hydro codons they gave me.
Done with this 9 Posted September 18, 2015 You need to be very careful about the amount that you take. I have been to the hospital twice for an overdose of Tylenol. After surgery you are not supposed to take more than 1000mg a day. Make sure that you talk to your doctor about taking yourself off of other pain meds and replacing with Tylenol as this can cause major organ damage because you don't have the ability to absorb Vitamins and any medication like you once were able. Johnston7781@yahoo.com 12 Posted September 18, 2015 Thanks yall! I hate to fill drugged so i only took my pain medication for a couple of days even after being cut open. However, I am three weeks today but my legs hurt so bad and I don't know what else to take. I did take 1 tylenol but it did not help. My doctor is out of town until next month.
