December 8th

Recommended Posts

Hey December 8th sleevers! 4 weeks to go now - how are we feeling??

I'm trying to tie up any loose ends and starting my Vitamins soon. I'm very excited. Not so scared, probably because I've been waiting for SO LONG. :)

Excited! I've been waiting ages, too - started process last September, been booked in since February. Can't believe it's nearly here!

I'm scheduled for Dec 8th. I'm a cash pay and draining my HSA and doing care credit for the rest. Besides feeling bad for spending so much money, I'm on board and ready to go on the lifetime journey!

Yep I'm so committed I just sat in a restaurant while my daughter had steak sandwich and a friend had curry and as they had no veg Soup I actually had just Water. Xmas doesn't bother me at all its one too many dinners that got me to 25 stone roll on 2016

Hi

I'm December 8th too & I think doing it cash pay is nothing to feel guilty about! Congrats to you for loving yourself enough to give yourself a healthy & happy future. People spend more money on buying a car. Good luck to us all! ????

Only 9 days left! I'm trying to get completely ready for the holidays pre-surgery since I'm not sure how I'll be feeling afterwards. I have my surgeon pre-op tomorrow, and the hospital pre-op on Tuesday. I'll be asking about what I may need to have at home for when I get out if the hospital. Otherwise I'm feeling pretty good :)

I'm so excited, nervous, and READY! It's almost here and I can't believe it. I've definitely been in a "nesting" type state, cleaning and preparing the house; just trying to get everything ready.

Hello everyone, my surgery date is December 5. I feel worried because I have a plan trip on Dec 11-13. My surgery date was supposed to be early November but it was pushed to December. The doctor said it's ok to travel just don't carry anything heavy. I'm taking a 1% of risk. Well hopefully I get well soon. Good luck to y'all ????

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
