Hi Everyone. I'm 5 weeks post band and just had my 3rd fill so I am now up to 5mls. Does anyone know what the average sweet spot is? I know it varies for everyone but I'd quite like to know what the average total fill is for most banders. Thank you

All over the map. Everyone is different and there is at least one successful bander here who has a zero fill. Mine is up to 7.9 right now but I'm going for another 0.1 soon. I've had eight fills over a year and a half. Creeping to green. In my experience green may last a few months and then an adjustment is needed. Good luck.

Agree with @JustWatchMe. A fill level can be great for a bit, and then change. Even over a couple of days. What is your band total size? Most of what I lost was lost at 3.0 in a 10.0 band.

In any case, work your band hard this first year. Results are less spectacular after one year, so try and get most of your weight off in the first 12 months.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
