Yes, I can feel mine but can't see it. It kinda creeped me out at first, but not anymore.

Yes to both. But its not a big ugly looking lump, just a slight difference when I look down - from front on you wouldnt notice it if you werent looking for it. Certainly it cant be seen under clothes.

Nope can't see mine at all. Dr Cobourn puts his just above and a little to the left of the belly button. I have felt around and thought I felt an area that is a little hard as in it doesn't give like the other parts of my tummy, but nothing more than that for me. Mine is Great where it is! I don't even think about it.

I can feel it and since it moved, I can see it. I looks like an almond size bump in the skin

I don't notice any bump where my port is located and can only feel it upon moderate palpation. I never give it a second thought. Should it ever become noticable, it's a small price to pay for the release from being morbidly obese.

Yes to both. I especially see it when I lay down. It is between my boobs about 3 inches down.

LOL I have too much fat to see it yet. But that is my goal to be able to see my port like I see in the DVD CD. My badge of honour you might say. Doddie

I can see a slight indentation where my port is and I can feel it too. Mine was placed at my waistband (stupid place for it actually) and sometimes I feel it when I wear my belt.

Having just been done on July 5th, I can certainly see it because of the massive bruise. I can feel it too, especially when I lay down. It's just above the waistline on the left.

Consider it a badge of honour!!

I saw Dr. Yau today and he is going to move my port to where I originally asked for it - in the bikini area. It is done under local and my date is July 26 - no problem and no charge. I'm Happy!

I cannot see my port but I can definitely feel it. The first time I touched the area I freaked out because I didn't know what that hard bump was. All sorts of strange thoughts ran through my head and then I remembered the port! ;)

Thanks Donna... I may have a chat with Dr. Yau too. I think that I need mine moved as well... though its only really bothersome when I where a belt or pants with a snug waistline (I just can't seem to get to charged up about those low waisted pants - too much of a muffin top still, I guess!)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
