Hey everyone! :)

I am three months out and feeling amazing. I have so much more energy and don't buff and puff after walking short distances anymore!

My health is so much better. My blood pressure went down, I no longer have anemia, and life is just good so far.

I started out at 5'0 tall and 288 pounds. I am now... still a shorty :D but have went down to 228. A total of 60 pounds lost.

Of course, I still have a long way to go but I know I can succeed. I can't wait to see where I am another 3 months from now!

How is everyone else doing so far? If anyone is 3 months out like me, or close, how have your eating habits been?

I've been dying to have some rice or even some potatoes as they're my weakness, but I haven't faltered yet! Lol

Congratulations to you I just hit 2 months and I'm trying to get all my Water, Protein, and food in and that seems to be a full-time job .

I do feel better i'm just frustrated I can't seem to get enough food and there's not enough hours in the day !!! I'm down almost 50 pounds, down almost 2 sizes and . I had to back off exercise because I wasn't eating enough but other than that I feel great.

Keep up the good work

I'm about 2.5 months out now. I've lost 46 lbs since surgery, and 63.5 since the start of my 2 week pre-op diet. I done to a regular size 14-16 from a 20W. Feeling good, working out 5 days per week for the few weeks. GERD was a big issue, but seems to be settling down. Now my biggest issue is remembering to take my Calcium 3x per day!

I do still drink 1 Protein shake/day to get my required protein. 64 oz Water is tough. I generally get 60...but for some reason that last 4 oz is the toughest and I end up having to drink some before bed!

Congrats on your journey and success this far.

I am 11 weeks out, I am down 30 lbs in all. I was discouraged because I wasn't losing as much as everyone else but I realized I could barely lose 5lbs before surgery. So now I Celebrate a lot of non scale victories.

It is a struggle to get my Protein in. I could not tolerate the taste of Protein but now I am able to a little.

I tried a lot of things after surgery that were high in protein. There was a lot I didn't like. I decided to stick to what I like.

I snack on almonds. Also I am a huge meat eater so I snack on turkey Jerky and ground turkey meat when I am hungry. It easy to store almonds and Jerky at work in my desk.

I wish you the best of luck as you continue.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
