confusedgirl18 6 Posted September 13, 2015 What happens if you overeat once or twice + how do you know you're overeating..plus am I ever supposed to feel full?
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted September 13, 2015 Miss Tummy lets me know by punishing me for hours with discomfort, pain and lethargy. One of the advantages of chewing food to death and eating slower is that you will get that full signal sooner. It s a long time between mess-ups because the pain is a strong teacher. Whitney1968 54 Posted September 13, 2015 @@confusedgirl18 I feel the same way, I never seem to feel full. I read all these posts that people get full on 2pieces of sushi, 2-3 bites of this or that. Im jealous. I am 3 weeks post-op and still on liquids. I find when I drink the broth from ramon noodles, I will eat a few ramen noodles hoping to feel full and I never do. Wondering if the doctor cut enough of my stomach out. Im always hungry!!!! Will it ever change?
Sharon1964 2,530 Posted September 13, 2015 Measure your food and you won't have to worry about overeating. Then if you're away from home and can't measure, you'll have a pretty good idea of the right amount because you've been measuring for so long at home. If you're still on liquids, I wouldn't expect to feel full. Early on, most feelings of hunger are really stomach acids. My surgeon puts everyone on omeprazole (Prilosec) for the first month to combat that.
