Bndtoslv 292 Posted September 10, 2015 I'm about 10 weeks out and have tolerated everything. No cravings EXCEPT sushi. When did you eat sushi? Sashimi? Maki? Sometimes a restaurant will use soy paper if that helps.
kranky813 477 Posted September 10, 2015 aaahhh I want to know this too! I love Sushi! I am only 3 weeks out but I have been wondering the same thing.
elleschaeffer 12 Posted September 10, 2015 I had sushi at 8 weeks post op. I've never had any issues tolerating anything and couldn't wait any longer. I ordered sushi rolls and asked that it be made using about half the amount of rice as usual. I was only able to eat two pieces but it was amazing!

Can't wait any longer. Chirashi is just sashimi over rice (I'll get brown) I'm very excited. I can control the rice this way (I'll probably measure out one ounce)! Bndtoslv 292 Posted September 10, 2015 So I should have stuck with the sashimi not chirashi. I had a minuscule amount of rice and it doesn't sit so well. The fish was pure heaven though and high in protein!!

meowmers 16 Posted September 11, 2015 Two months out I had sushi. I get eel avocado cucumber with no rice, just nori. Or wrapped in cucumber. Felt fine. Edamame is also a great choice! Avoid rolls with fried elements. Sashimi would probably be strange, since you have to chew it very well..don't know if I'd enjoy chewing a slab of raw salmon down to a pulp.
