So Im 12 weeks out and Im losing the weight, although when I look in the mirror I dont see it. But my question is: Has anyone tried waist training? Do u think its too soon? I havent spoken to my surgeon yet, dont see him for 3 more weeks. And I dont feel as though I need to call him about this, figured I'd wait til I see him. But I was curious to know if anyone as tried/trying it. My midsection is the most stubbornest part of my body, and although its going down. Just not quick enough for me! Thought I might invest in a GenieWaist. Let me know what you guys think...

There is at least one thread about this topic on here so you may want to do a search and see what other's have to say.

My take is that at the effects are at the very least temporary and not at all effective over the long run. At the worst it can be dangerous (crush your ribs and organs, and make it hard to breathe properly).

Definitely talk to your surgeon about something like this,

I do know some folks use binders soon after surgery just for support and find them helpful.

You are still healing for up to 6 months. I think it is still too early to waist train.

Wearing a waist belt while you workout, something neoprene is a safer solution. Waist training it just a bad idea.

A Kutting Weight suit or top would be a better investment. You can wear it longer and it covers more area.

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
