crystalefinley 5 Posted September 7, 2015 I'm an now 3 months post op. Good thing is that I've lost nearly 100 pounds and I'm thankful for that but I'm having some issues. My abdomen feels like I have a constant Charlie horse. Also, I have tingling and numbness in both legs. They are both very weak causing me to fall at times. I also have been getting light headed after standing for more than a few minutes. I've consulted my surgeon abdominal primary care manager and have been told to increase thiamine and B12. That was two weeks ago and I have made very little improvement (but at least I can stand on my own now). Has anyone else had any of these problems? Is this normal? Does it get better? dhrguru 1,238 Posted September 7, 2015 Those sound like serious issues, they do sound Vitamin deficiency related. I have had a constant charlie horse feeling in my calf. I'm drinking Gatorade and eating a banana to try and counter it and today it doesn't feel as tight as it has been feeling. Maybe getting some electrolyes/potassium could help you as well? I hope it gets better
Dave Butler 10 Posted September 8, 2015 I agree with dhrguru. If you haven't had a recent blood workup ask your surgeon or PCP to order one.
crystalefinley 5 Posted September 8, 2015 I have had one they just haven't gotten back to me. Thanks dhrguru for the suggestions, I will definitely try to incorporate more potassium Abs electrolytes into my daily routine.
