edie091371 544 Posted November 21, 2015 @395Ron. . Sorry for the super late response but I am right in the middle of opening my own business and that has been all consuming for me. In answer to your question about my son Seth....he is 13, 5'6" and 230 pounds. I started him with a nutritionist a month and a half ago and at his 2nd visit two weeks ago he had lost 6 pounds. The nutritionist says that losing is not the huge goal but not gaining is! He should be around 6'2 so if he could grow into his weight that would be great. He is doing really good so time will tell! Great news about your weight loss. Way to go!! Did you ever address the tremors with your doc and if you did what did they say? Kevin is doing awesome and heading back to work on monday! 395Ron 396 Posted November 21, 2015 @@edie091371 completely understand. Sounds like you are an excellent mother. I have an appointment with a neurologist about the tremors, some memory issues, and the right side of my thigh being completely numb, but it is not until January 8th. The first neurologist I tried couldn't get me in until March ugh. Great news about Kevin.
s0rda 339 Posted November 21, 2015 So I weigh in once a week and today was my first weigh in that I didn't lose anything. I didnt gain either so I'm happy. I stayed the same exact weight to the ounce. Maybe this is my first stall and I'm 6 weeks post op, all I know is I'm not going to worry because the scale doesn't define my journey and the scale can't take away the fact that I'm down 3 pant sizes! I really hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday! Sent from my SM-N915P using Tapatalk

What is she going to say if I lose another 100 to 150 pounds? For the most part I've only had negativity from one sister. Not many people know about my sleeve. She knows and can be insensitive to people's feelings but unfortunately that's her personality. I don't really see my weight loss. My husband has noticed and says he can tell when he hugs me. I don't even know what to expect if I lose 100-150 pounds lol.Maybe you're wife will say you've disappeared when you lose that 100-150lbs lol. 395Ron 396 Posted November 24, 2015 @@s0rda I am sorry your sister is like that. It has got to be tough. I don't know if I will be able to lose that much but I already expect people to say "Whoa you are losing too much." People are used to me being 403 lbs. Losing 100 lbs would make a huge difference in the way I look and the 90 lbs I have lost already has. If I were to lose the 250 lbs that would put me at 22% BMI but would be a MASSIVE change in my appearance. It would not surprise me if I lose 150 lbs for someone to start saying "You are losing too much, you look unhealthy." My reply would be I am letting my doctor decide when it is too much. I think when it comes to my sister i just have to remember she is just programmed that way. I've lost 76lbs but I don't see the difference. The proof is is my clothing I'm down 3 pant sizes. I imagine some jealousy will come out when we lose that much weight. We will look very different. I've always been overweight and the only one out of all my sisters as long as I have 1 that supports me I'm fine and can get thru any negativity from the other 4. I agree completely with the doctor having the say in our weight. I can't wait to lose that 100-150 pounds and be healtier. kvoneye 210 Posted November 24, 2015 I told my twin sister I was having surgery and her reply was "you can lose it without surgery" my comment to her was "if I could, I would have done it already." She has always been thinner than me and the one time I was thinner than her,she lost more weight, which she didn't have to lose. I'm 5 weeks post op and down 17. I want it to be more and I know it will happen in my own time. My 24 yr old son said to me the other day "looking good mom." That made my day. I still haven't eaten much in the last 2 days nor have I gotten in my Fluid or Protein. I can feel it in my middle to lower back. I will and need to have a Protein Shake tonight to help with protein. I went to Perkins for lunch and ordered a ham and cheese omelet with egg beaters and wheat toast. I took two bites of toast and about 5 bites of the omelet and I was done. I couldn't eat any more,as it hurt too much. I was even taking tiny bites and waiting between bites. I wait so long my food gets cold. Ok, now I'm rambling and I apologize for that.
