I thought it was 10% of total body weight.. But it only 10%of excess..

That would be about 9-11 pounds for me.. I thought I'd have to lose 25 to get the date.

I started my pre-op diet Monday and lost 9 pounds in 5 days. Today is harder for me for some reason. I can only have Protein Shakes, broth, Jello, and I get one pickle pear a day. So random, but it gives me something to look forward to.

Thank you so much for your positive thoughts. Surgery went well. I had some post op complications from human error. Spent 2 nights in El Camino Hospital. My 1st week post op was a little rough. Doing a lot better now.

Went with my mom yesterday and got a medical alert tattoo

I am so grateful my doc didn't make me do a pre-op diet.

The day before the surgery was my only day and I had to do Clear Liquids.

I never would have made it two weeks on a liquid diet!
