meSparkle83 153 Posted September 6, 2015 Can someone please tell me how to make a Protein smoothie? The shakes I purchased are horrible.
Daisee68 2,493 Posted September 7, 2015 @@meSparkle83 - Depending on which stage you are in, here is a link to some recipes - http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/06/my-favorite-protein-shake-recipes.html. Which ones did you purchase? The Premier Protein ready made shakes are good. For Protein powders, I use Precision Engineering whey Protein Isolate (be sure it says Isolate) and for unflavored I used Doc Hale's Whey-licious. You may have to experiment with different kinds but I was pretty lucky to find this early in my search. I hated Isopure and nectar Syntrax though both of those are popular choices with others. Hope that helps!

meSparkle83 153 Posted September 7, 2015 I purchased premier Protein powder.. I loved premier ready made so I assumed the powder would of been great as well... I'm ordering the nectar vanilla bean & Cookies n cream but it's going to take a few days to get to me. I have a big 3lb jug n I wanted to see if using it for smoothies would be better. Djmohr 6,965 Posted September 7, 2015 @@meSparkle83 Honestly I steer clear of all/most powdered Proteins. I just cannot stand that gritty Protein taste. I really stick with Premier Protein ready made shakes for that reason.
ready2B 263 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) I make smoothies with 1/2 cup frozen berries (any kind), a 1/2 a banana, a scoop of Protein powder and a cup of Water or Crystal Light. The fruit helps cover up the Protein Powder. Edited September 7, 2015 by ready2B
