Are any of you having off the wall crazy dreams after you had your surgery? I have at least 3 dreams a night and I'm not getting any good rest.

I had a dream that my mom was feeding me Peanut Butter, I had a dream about a man falling in love with a robot, a dream about me eating an apple, a dream about me watching this really good movie ...and the list goes on!

Yes, me too. I think it's the pain meds. I had a dream that the post lady ran right into my car with hers and took off. My dreams are all over the map. Your not alone. I'm almost a week post op.

I'm three weeks post-op and it wasn't until just recently that the crazy dreams have gotten better... And I've been off the pain meds for two weeks now.

I'd say the most terrifying, besides being bizarre, of all the dreams was one a handful of nights ago where I had a dream my belly was literally tearing open at all of my incision sites. Slightly traumatic, haha. But I'm sleeping MUCH better and more soundly now!

I dont have crazy drrams, but I do sleep 200% better and I know there is a rhyme or reason for dreams and your sleep level.

I had really strange, vivid dreams too. I think it's a combination of the pain meds and all the excitement and anxiety that comes with a life and body-altering surgery like this. it gets better. take it easy and take good care of yourself. :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
