dwinette 21 Posted September 6, 2015 Here lately people have been telling me about ppl who have had the gastric bypass and gained their weight back. I usually hear these stories after someone else has commented on my weight loss . Thoughts?
Summermonkey 22 Posted September 6, 2015 I have heard that crap more times than I can count since I had my surgery. Ignore the party poopers. They have no idea how hurtful and discouraging they sound. Idiots. Just know that you aren't going to let all that crap back into your diet and you won't be part of that club:)

Blind Squirrel 7 Posted September 6, 2015 In my experience the naysayers bring stories of "gastric bypass failures" when the person they are referring to did have a weightless surgery but they are actually unsure of which one they had. I suspect a lot of these failures are actually bands, given the band failure rate. Of the five people I know who had RNY one has gained most of their weight back. That person has done so by having absolute determination not to change her habits. She seems to have pushed her body to be able to deal with eating cake and high sugar foods saying she used to have dumping but you can get your body used to that.
