I like Premier Protein, GNC Lean 25, Syntrax nectar, and ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrate.

There are many, many posts on this site with Protein shake recommendations, but the best thing to do is to try them and see what you like.

Everyone has different taste. The important thing is to experiment until you find one that you can tolerate. For me that was "Muscle Milk Light" (vanilla Creme) powder blended with Water using a half a banana. I used a Ninja blender with a single size serving cup. Good luck.

Premier Protein ready-made shakes in vanilla and chocolate are my favorites.

Just a quick note about unjury chicken Soup Protein Powder...I bought some and was adding it to my blended Soups at a little under 2 weeks out to get in my Protein after surgery. My weight loss nearly stopped at 2 weeks. Wasn't a stall...just slowed wwaayy down! Had a follow-up with surgeon and he said that Unjury chicken soup Protein Powder was way too high in sodium and was causing Water retention. I stopped using it and sure enough, the Water retention went away and I started losing again. Your results may vary.

I love the BariWise hot cocoa mixes. They dissolve completely and don't clump like a lot of other Protein mixes. The mint & amaretto are my favorites!

I also just this week tried Smart Protein by TR supplements (you can search for it on Amazon). The vanilla is very mild and not too sweet like a lot of others. It also dissolves completely so no graininess. I mix it with Carbmaster milk and a dash of whatever flavoring drops I want (those little Lorann 1 gm bottles used in candy making). So far, I've used Eggnog, Cake Batter, and Praline & Cream. Fantastically delicious!

Premier Protein seems to be the best tasting and easiest as they are ready made. The can be purchased at Sam's or costco in 18 packs. You can sometimes find them in 4 packs at Walgreens.

The nice part about ready made shakes is you are not dealing with the grit that comes along with the majority of powdered solutions.

I will say that my second favorite would be the syntax Nectars that can be mixed with Water or milk but you will need a blender or blender cup with the little ball in it?

I've been experimenting.

So far here's my favorite:

2 scoops chocolate Muscle Milk Light

1 Tablespoon-sugar free Chocolate Syrup (I use U-Bet brand)

7oz milk (or water)

1 cup chopped ice

Blend until smooth

The chocolate syrup is the key. It covers up the nasty taste. Almost as good as Dairy Queen!

I like EAS carb control in rich dark chocolate. Walmart carries them and I frequently have coupons. I also have them on my subscribe and save with Amazon. Hth

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
