Dream4tc 192 Posted September 5, 2015 I had my band and port removed on 8/10 and ever since then, I am FREEZING cold!!!! I have no earthly clue as to why! I walk around the house in a heavy fleece bathrobe, house slippers, with the thermostat set on 75!!!! I turned off all of the fans and enjoy going outside in the hot humid 89 degree weather....in my fleece bathrobe because my body thinks it nice outside! I can tell you, that is not me. Usually I am turning the thermostat to 70, tuning ceiling fans and room fans on to stay cool. What in the world is wrong with me? My husband and son are suffering because I am so cold. I often have to get in a hot shower to get warm! Anyone else experience this after any surgery?

Dream4tc 192 Posted September 19, 2015 No anemia? Any blood work done post op? All labs have been good other than low Vitamin D level which I have been supplementing for past 6 months. I go see my PCP next week and will address it.
Julie norton 2,850 Posted September 19, 2015 I have seen this issue brought up here. Seems many of us are colder at a lower calorie intake and or lower weight. Enjoy summer! Fall is approaching, and I have heating pads in several spots at my house and an electric blanket just for the foot of my bed!! (My feet seem to be the coldest part of me.... )I have resorted to running a hair dryer into my boots to heat things up! Best of luck! Sad to say that even a small weight gain made me warmer Sigh

Dream4tc 192 Posted September 20, 2015 Last winter I bought a heated mattress pad.......................it is absolutely wonderful. Ooooh where do you get those?
Buh Bye 63 Posted September 20, 2015 (edited) @@Dream4tc You can get them at JC Penney, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart places like that. I would get a mattress pad but the cats like to sleep on the blanket and who am I to be comfy? Edited September 20, 2015 by SunInUT
