Dr. Frenzel Arlington/Dallas

Recommended Posts

I was originally going to use Dr. Frenzel. He did my EGD and I was very impressed with him as a surgeon but unfortunately his office staff was not up to par!

I went with another surgeon (Dr. David Kim) and it was the best decision of my life. Not only is he a wonderful surgeon but his office staff and post-op support group is amazing! Wouldn't trade my decision for a million bucks!!

My surgery is scheduled with him on December 7, 2015. I switched over from Dr. Kim after many hours of research.. I have nothing but great things to say so far about Frenzel and staff! They are on top of it all!

Has anyone used Dr. frenzel recently?? I am considering having the sleeve done and would like to hear from others that have used him!

Dr. Frenzel will be doing my sleeve on 12/28; so far he and his staff have been fine. I saw him originally ib Texarkana, then had the EGD in Plano with no complaints. Had my pre-op visit in Texarkana on Saturday and am cleared for surgery. Fingers crossed!

You will do great, I ended up having mine 11/23 with him. One thing I particularly like is that a doctor answers the phone on weekends for post op patients! I have lost 33.5 lbs since 11/09 so no complaints here!!

I used dr victor Gonzalez. He is outstanding! His staff is outstanding. He is very thorough and conservative. I have not had one issue. I have never been nauseated one time. He really cares about his patients. I was on the phone 30 min today with his nurse.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
