ANewMe83 21 Posted September 4, 2015 Hi guys, I keep vomiting stomach acid. Anyone had this problem? My mom says I'm not eating so this is why. Nine times out of 10, I really am not hungry.
Djmohr 6,965 Posted September 4, 2015 Have you had your bypass already? If so, you should not be vomiting stomach acid as they cut away the part of your stomach that generates it. This is one of the reasons one who has RNY doesn't get acid reflux. I would call your doctor but it likely is some other issue you are having. It is not because you are not eating. It is possible that you have developed an ulcer. Call your doctor a sap.
catwoman7 11,221 Posted September 4, 2015 I agree. Call your surgeon's office. It could also be a stricture, but in that case, the vomiting and acid usually just occur after eating something. either way (ulcer, stricture, or something else), they may send you for an upper endoscopy to see what's going on. But you should definitely let them know.
