Swimming

I can't find in my paperwork when I was able to swim after surgery. My incisions seemed to be closed. Any ideas?

I went in the pool around 4 weeks, but I didn't actually swim because swimming is hard on stomach muscles

I was swimming at 6-7 weeks postop, well mostly walking through the pool. I had a shoulder injury that kept me from doing a lot of things then, heck even now....still nursing it.

my surgeon's PA told me I could go when all the surgical glue and scabs were off. For me, that was at about four weeks.

I was advised 2-3 weeks when all wounds are healed over and dry. I am exactly 3 weeks and am planning to go swimming this week sometime.

i was told 6 weeks, i have a pool, i put waterproof bandages on and duct tape over that and went for a short dip yesterday... my incisions seem good but felt guilty.

I was told once my incisions had healed over, with no holes and no scabs. It was about four weeks for me.
