That is great! Keep going , I am doing the same and is working I am loosing again and my clothes feels loose again! You should try to exercise at home , in “you Tube” there is a program “walking inside home” you can walk 1,2,3,4 miles at day without going out in the cold , I started at 1 mile and now I do 3 every day (45 minutes), never thought I will do that it feels great 👍 !

I do walking inside my house early in the morning since it is still dark, and while traveling either in my motel room or in the hotel.

Walking is my exercise of choice and have over 440 days in a row of 10,000 steps or more.

Looks likes it been awhile since anyone has posted.

I have gained 9 lbs since August 2018 had once again reached my lowest weight of 178. which for 6 months is not to bad. In years prior to the band I would of lost 50 lbs in a year and put back 70 lbs in 6 months.

Still walking at least 10,000 steps a day. My A1C for the second time in a year is at 5.2.

Still appreciate that the band keeps me somewhat in line.

Hoping to hear from others.

Back to 178 so pleased to have my lapband as a tool but I still have to watch what I put into my mouth and keep up an exercise program and check in once in awhile on this board.

Seems that if I do all three then either hoping to reach my elusive goal of 170 this year

Yes. I need to remember to be more thankful!! The band is one of the best things I did to completely change my life.
I had to learn to comply....I suspect not easy for some of us . Life goes on.
I’m @ the Lowest I’ve been since high school. And it feels good
Don’t think it is easy. I have to try daily

Time flies! I intended to do regular updates but of course didn’t. I am now at 207, down from 240 in February. Still on the Phentermine and trying to do low carb but not too great on that front. I still seem to be losing and am within shouting distance of a BMI under 30 - my magic level of being classed as overweight instead of obese. Swimming every morning now that the pool is open and am determined to find some other exercise that I can do when the pool is closed. I’ll try to post again soon.

Finally after almost 12 year the scale finally showed 170 which was my long term goal weight on August 29, 2019. For me the Band though not always my friend but a tool to remind me to keep going.

I use Pedometer++ for Iphone, gives you something to work for every month.

Pedometer++ is one of the most highly-rated step counter apps on iTunes, with over 8,000 positive customer reviews. It lets you keep track of your daily and weekly step counts without draining your battery. It quantifies metrics such as steps taken, calories burned, and distance walked, and rewards you once you reach your goals.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
