I am almost 3 months post op and I am constantly sick at my stomach.. The thought of eating just makes it even worse and I can't seem to keep anything down.. I'm very worried that I am not eating enough.. Being sick like this everyday makes me kinda regret having this surgery now.. I just wish I wasn't sick all the time like this

Have you spoken to your doctor or nutritionist about this? They may be able to help you somehow. Or perhaps prescribe you an anti-nausea medication.

Give it time, though. Your body is still healing, and your digestive tract is still getting used to this huge change. Don't give up hope yet, and try to remember all the reasons you did this in the first place. It will get better! :)

Well not to worry you but I had similar problem and found out I had a stricture which is apparently a fairly common problem. The exit from my stomach was so small the Dr could barely get the scope through. They had to dilate it but can only do so a little at a time so they have to do it a few times. (I am 3 months post-op this weekend). I would suggest you call your surgeon and see if you can get them to schedule and endoscopy.

I agree with Daisee68. I've had strictures as well. You should contact your surgeon's office for sure and let them know what's going on.

Are you dehydrated? Are you able to drink enough?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
