rnytiffany 33 Posted September 2, 2015 Hi Everyone! I am fairly new, I have met with my nutritionist and I will be meeting my surgeon tomorrow. To all of those with Aetna, In addition to the 3 supervised NUT visits were you required to do a supervised exercise regimen with a therapist. When I called Aetna to verify they basically read their policy and my surgeon's office said they have not heard of that only the NUT visits. I would just hate to do everything else and get denied because I didn't do an exercise regimen. Has anyone done this or heard of it ? Feed back would be appreciated! gpmed 623 Posted September 2, 2015 Hi there! I have Aetna. I was required to do three months (90 days) of nutritional counseling with a nutritionist or go on a six-month physician-supervised diet. I went with the three months with a nut. Btw, I was required to do 90 days, from the first appointment to the last. I had to add an extra appointment to meet that requirement. I did not have to do any kind of supervised exercise. My other requirements were 1. records of my weight a year ago and two years ago 2. psych eval. Hope this helps!
