jennolsen 140 Posted September 1, 2015 By this time two weeks from now I'll be about 12 hours post op. Fear is really starting to set in. I have so much to do before then, traveling for a wedding this weekend, kids stat school, I'm a school nurse and this my first day in this role also, need to clean the house to my moms standards since she is coming to stay for a week after surgery and fish the masters level course I am taking and a week early!! I'm tired after typing all of that!! Any tips on last minute preparations and not freaking out and eating everything while on the countdown. I really don't want to mess this up with a too fat liver!! IncredibleShrinkingMan 437 Posted September 1, 2015 Did your surgeon give you a liquid diet to follow? Or a low calorie diet? Those are supposed to help with the liver, and having done it really helped me follow the rules post-op. Good luck!
jennolsen 140 Posted September 3, 2015 No liquids. Just low carb. Protein, veggies, fruit. No caffeine, carbonation or beverages with calories. I feel better now. Last weigh in went well. Actually lost 2+ more lbs than they asked me too. Thanks for the encouragement!
