clcp1980 4 Posted August 31, 2015 Two week ago I had a Loop DS / SADI and my very large hiatal hernia repaired. As of 2 days ago I started have constant heartburn and reflux. I have tried taking Tums and my Rx ppi without getting any relief. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a complication of the surgeries? I'm not sure what to do. Thank for your support! amazon 579 Posted August 31, 2015 I had the sleeve, but I did develop acid re-flux immediately after surgery. I had to change PPI's, and add zantac at bedtime. Work with your Dr. and I'm sure you'll work out a fix. Something as seemingly benign as Crystal Light can cause it - for me at least. Good luck! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Folly 308 Posted August 31, 2015 Mine started about a month post-op. I thought pregnancy taught me about acid reflux but this was like OMFG!!!!!!!!! Lansoprazole is the one that works for me. I find I take one every two or three days and that keeps me comfortable. The burn is absolutely unreal if go more than 3 days. It's among the most common and persistent post-op things we are stuck dealing with. Something will work for you. :-) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
