Future skinny girl 19 Posted August 31, 2015 (edited) I had surgery on 8/21 and I really haven't lost any weight. Others that had surgery the same day have already lost 10-15 lbs by now. I don't understand. I'm really not eating a lot and I am trying to get all my liquids and Protein in. It would be just my luck to fail at this... Healthy_life2 8,324 Posted August 31, 2015 @@Future skinny girl You are 9 days out from surgery..right??? You are just beginning. None of us drop weight at the same speed. You are going to make yourself crazy comparing weight loss with other people. Follow your surgeons instructions. Soon you will see the scale move. I was frustrated that my loss was not as quick as I expected...I laugh about it now. Looking back a year has passed so quickly and the weight loss still amazes me. Keep going make each day better that the day before. Jenn

MarchLikeAnAnt 14 Posted August 31, 2015 Maybe it's just the swelling/body in shock? I'm sure you will start losing soon. Best of luck!

MzB 297 Posted September 1, 2015 @@Future skinny girl Patience is the key that first month. I also lost almost no weight the first two weeks after surgery. I think my body was just in shock and holding on to every ounce of water/fluid I put into it. If you are anything like me, your can start to wonder did this fail for me already? Don't worry, it will start to come off. You will start to see something soon I am sure.
Future skinny girl 19 Posted September 4, 2015 The weight has started falling off finally! I guess I just panicked. Everyone reacts differently to this surgery and I have to keep that in mind. I will stop comparing my journey to others and start focusing on me!

Future skinny girl 19 Posted September 4, 2015 ⬆️Drink some G2. It is known for breaking stalls. That is what I started drinking and the weight started falling off!
Smills 43 Posted September 7, 2015 Yeah I'm there.. Had surgery on 8-12 lost about 15 pounds first 2 weeks then stalled for what will be the 3 weeks on Wednesday.. Just keeping my head up and plowing forward but a 3 week stall sux lol
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted September 7, 2015 It has been 90 degrees plus most days since I had surgery. At first it seemed like I wasn't losing at all, and I was discouraged. Then 10bs just came off, and it comes off in chunks randomly. Your Water varies a lot and if you are struggling with Constipation, until I got the constipation worked out, I wasn't losing. All your bodies energy is going to repairing itself, let it work, and you will get there. Drink all the Water you can.
Future skinny girl 19 Posted September 7, 2015 Thanks for the advice OutsideMatchinside. I am really struggling with plain Water but I make myself drink as much as I can.
Future skinny girl 19 Posted September 7, 2015 Smills the weight will start coming off again. Just be patient. I think my weight will start coming off quicker when I start going to the gym in about 3 more weeks.
