Oh I'm sure you didn't. Every Dr is different. My surgeon actually hadn't told me but my endocrinologist did so I called the surgeon and asked who confirmed it but then they never told me at pre-op or hospital release so I just stuck with what they originally told me. It has something to do with potential for blood clots.

Yes I was told that too. I guess he is over cautious but then so am I :D

I just have a feeling I will be sat somewhere quite and away from my co workers for the rest of the week :P

My poor hubby though... he might be moving out before then

I was pretty snappy early on. It really only came out when I was fixing dinner for my family. Being on a liquid diet for 5 weeks made me extremely cranky while I was fixing my family a delicious meal....and myself a bowl of chicken broth. I seemed to snap out of it once I finally made it to the purée stage. I'm 4 months out now and it doesn't bother me anymore. I think I'm developing a different relationship with food. I don't really seem to care much about it.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
