jjyogalove 5 Posted August 31, 2015 Does anyone have a Fitbit? I was considering buying myself a pre-surgery present as I start on my journey towards becoming healthy, strong and fit. I was wondering if anyone had one and what they thought of it. I do gentle yoga and walk, but I'm going to increase my walking and join a gym. I'd love to hear input on the Fitbit, because I think it could be a really great tool to track activity, calories, food, etc. (I think the app does all that, anyway!) Thoughts? OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted August 31, 2015 there is a conversation about Fitbits here... http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/348821-fitbit/
rnsamantha 352 Posted August 31, 2015 I just got the charge HR. I like being able to see my HR during exercise to check if I'm working hard enough. The step count is inaccurate if you do things involving a lot of arm movement (ie Zumba) or on stair climber if you are hanging on to the rails. Nonetheless it at least estimates you calorie burn based on your HR, and it's handy that I can sync it to my fitness pal.
losing2win 23 Posted August 31, 2015 I had the Zip for four months. I decided to get the Charge as my pre-surgery gift/accountability. I've had it since Thursday, and I wish I had it at first!
triciakae 18 Posted September 5, 2015 I used to have the fitbit charge, now I have the fitbit charge hr and I love it. Only downside is you have to charge it more often. Then the regular charge and for some reason I have to reset it once in awhile because of syncing issues.
shayshay85 5 Posted September 7, 2015 I invested in the Fitbit surge- I love how easy it makes it to check my stats, and I've been walking a lot more since I got it!

Mandala27 14 Posted September 8, 2015 I got a fitbit on July 11 and it died on August 11...I was up to 7500 steps a day. My replacement should arrive tomorrow and I cannot wait. I find that it keeps me really focused on my goal of walking. I found myself walking more, parking farther away, etc. I like it a lot and it helps me. kozyjozie 108 Posted September 17, 2015 I use an iPhone 6 Plus. And there is a health app in the phone. So there was no need to buy the Fitbit for me. The health app measures how far I walk and stairs climbed. My Protein intake and all sorts of things. Works for me. My phone is always on me. Hope this helps. Thanks
