Dating Sites

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just decided this week to try my first dating site. It's actually a free site called Plentyoffish. I finally built up the nerve to add a picture today. I feel kind of strange doing that, but everyone keeps telling me that I probably won't get any responses or atleast good responses with out posting a pic. I actually also finally put a pic up here too. My first online pics ever...:)

I joined on Thursday and so far, I have gotten one response and that was before I added the pic. I did a very accurate description. I really didn't know what to say though.

I just wanted to get some views especially from plus size or formally plus size ladies. Eventually, I will maybe try one of the pay sites so any suggestions would be good.

Anything experiences, etc. Thanks!!:D

I have had bad/annoying experiences but males tend to outweigh females on dating sites, so it is a battle for a overweight male to get a girl interested.

Derick, I always sought out the bigger guys. Then again, I am obviously a big girl, and plenty of larger guys prefer little girls.

I met my husband on one of the matchmaker sites. It can work, but you do have to do some weeding through the nutcases.

Dating sites are great for girls, but for guys who are heavy, it's a futile effort, it seems. I've been on OkCupid, POF, Match, EHarmony, Cupid. Don't get me wrong, I met some nice girls, some less compatible than others, but I don't know. Would I do it again? Probably. I just wish they weren't so god awefully expensive...

Thanks for the responses. I will try Okcupid.

I have been on Plentyoffish for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I haven't really gotten any good responses. I haven't done much viewing on there. I only look at the people that respond to me or view me and I am not interested. I guess I could send some responses myself, but I don't know.

Neveragain, I don't know if it's better for woman. Maybe some woman, but plus size women have it harder too...I know a lot of woman that like larger men, but few men that prefer larger women.

Thanks again!!

I met my partner on a website. sexsearch.com

We've been together for 2 1/2 years. Not for everyone, but it worked for us!

Good luck.

PS:plenty of people like the plus size women:)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
