kranky813 477 Posted August 31, 2015 So all day today I have had this horrible taste in the back of my throat. It smells awful and tastes like you would think sewage would. Is this normal? What is it? I also had a bout of nausea today as well. I wish the nausea would disappear. I seem to be on a cycle - 2 days just fine, one day of nausea, 2 days just fine, one day of nausea. Babbs 14,681 Posted August 31, 2015 You are experiencing Ketosis. That's a good thing. Means you're burning fat! But yes, the breath it causes can kill a horse. Horrible. Lol.

Babbs 14,681 Posted August 31, 2015 I'm having the same problem. I don't remember this when I've done the Adkins diet though.Funny, that's when I first experienced it was on Atkins. @@kranky813 Your body should adjust soon. I really only remember it being a couple of weeks. In the mean time, brush your teeth a lot and stay clear of other people until it passes, lol. If you can make sure to really suck it until it disappears, maybe some sugar free mints. Oh, and the nausea is also normal. I was nauseous every morning for a couple of weeks post op. Some people have it for weeks, some months. Hang in there. This will all be a distant memory soon enough!
