I've been doing alot of research and I've been looking at Dr. Jose Rodriguez Villarreal In mexico alot I've heard and see alot people been/going to him, if you have been to him and had your surgery with him if you don't mind I would love to hear how everything went for you like how it all worked out with him being in Mexico and how it was there and how he was pretty much every detail you have and willing to share I'm really nervous and little scared. Thank you

I used him April 30th at Star Medica. He did a great job. I've not had any complications thus far.

I am scheduled for surgery October 10th. I am scared too, but like you I have seen and heard nothing but good things so I feel pretty good that all will go well.

Why was Juarez a deal breaker?

It went great! My husband and I both had surgery. We shared a suite. I was nervous about everything but it was all seamless. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to answer them.

My personal physician will do my 2x yearly blood tests. Other than that nothing. I had a lap band for 2 years and never saw the doctor for anything other than fills. I never utilized the $2000 after care program they made me purchase. Such a waste of money.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
