Crash2015 7 Posted September 9, 2015 Hi Willow! I had a band to sleeve revision. The band worked well for a short time, but then I kept getting obstructions and I'd have to start at square one. Yes, I'm thrilled at how well I'm doing. What are you going to have done? Best of luck to you! Dubaiboy - Good luck tomorrow!! I'm sure you'll do wonderfully!! Best to all, Crash
willow15 4 Posted September 10, 2015 I'm having a band, where I live WLS generally isn't covered by health insurance so I've to self pay so I really need this to work for me! You must be delighted to have it done, I'm finding the run up to surgery quite stressful so can't wait to have it over

dubaiboy 4 Posted September 10, 2015 So its 4am here in Dubai. Doctor released me to go home after 6 hours post op. Had a decent night. I'm having soreness but am really worried about band slippage. There's no major pain just abdomen tension. Is this normal ? When do I need to rush and get it checked out?
Crash2015 7 Posted September 11, 2015 They should have given you instructions prior to discharge. Rest, hydrate, follow whatever diet they gave you and walk as much and as often as you can. Good luck!!!! Crash????

thegingerwithaband 6 Posted September 15, 2015 Hi, I'm due to have my lap band on the 22nd September . I'm struggling with liver shrinking diet here. BTW, congratulations for the successful of. GOOD LUCK! I was banded 9/11/15 and the only thing that I can complain about is... I got thrush from the antibiotic they gave me during surgery and the shoulder pain which I think is from the port. If you need to chat I'm here
Swanie74 7 Posted September 16, 2015 Thank you and I hope that shoulder pain will be gone soon. That's probably just gas pains. Thrush problems , that can be resolved with clotrimazole cream or fluconazole tablet. All the best @byebyefats .
